This is the view when walking across the river from Playa Guasacate. Waves are a fun 3-4 ft with great conditions and clean water. There is a light current flowing north keeping you paddling to stay in place. There is nothing like the feeling of your blood pumping and the stoke for surfing coming alive inside you.

November has provided us with cooler weather and some small fun surf. Waves are 1-3 ft with cooler water around 80 degrees :) winds are still off-shore and crowds are light. This is the best time to watch the forecast and pull the trigger on the classic strike mission.
Great start to November with clean water, fun surf and no crowds. Waves are 2-3 ft with light off-shore winds, water is warm and the rights are lining up down the beach. This is the best time of year with daytime cooler temps and fun surf. There is still time to get here!
Trick or Treat? We love the treats mother ocean gives. October is ending with a bang! Waves are 3 ft with fast lines peeling down the beach. The ocean is treating us with clean conditions and the winds are light off-shore. It's time for a last minute strike mission...
The weather and waves are back to classic Popoyo! Waves are 2-3 ft with clean lines rolling in with smooth water and light off-shore breeze. Crowds are light and if your not here you are missing out! Stop staring at your computer, book a plane ticket and experience Popoyo Nicaragua!
The rains are tapering off and the water is cleaning up. The sunsets are always amazing here in Nicaragua. Waves are 2-3 ft with some fun little runners left and right. We are nearing the end of the rainy and surf season, so now is the time to get here if you have been waiting.
The heavy rains brings the milkshake to the yard, but never stops the serious surfer. Waves are a dirty mixed up 2-3 ft with onshore winds. Your best to relax and avoid the ear infections when it's this brown. Either way your in Nicaragua and the food is good!
